My School Play

Hi peeps.

It's about my school play. We staged this play at the end of the school term last year. The young children were awesome, especially the main role. Jon, our Chu Kang, was so charming and courageous. I do not want to lose this play. Hence, I'm sharing it with you here.

Let's enjoy our very own version of PCK, The best in Baling, Kupang and some say Kuala Pegang. A big thank to Miss Ong for the recording and publishing of the play.

How Can I Guide My Children?

Hi peeps.

On April 6, 2016, I invited all the Year 6 parents to school.

They were exposed to the UPSR English Paper and how they can help their child. Many turned up. It was well received. The parents were attentive. Most of them were all ears. They were keen and highly interested. It can be concluded as a successful programme.

Read It, Eat It: First Anniversary

Hi peeps.

Read It, Eat It was launched a year ago and today, March 31, 2016, we celebrate its first anniversary. 

As a refresher, this is a reading programme which was launched last year. 

Apart from eating and relieving themselves, most of our students did not put the 20-minute break time to a good use.

Some students wandered around the school compound aimlessly while most of them played with their friends.

Since we do not have a proper playground or an area which we can call a 'field', our students spent their time running in and around their classrooms. 

By the end of the recess time, the kids would be drenched to the bone.

The smell of their sweat-soaked hair and shirt was becoming too much for me.

They were indeed soaking wet cats. 

Hence, the term 'Read It, Eat It' was coined after having observed the students' routine.

Surprisingly, the programme is well received by many avid readers. 

Most of the young students choose to forgo the pleasure of relaxing and playing during recess time.

Sharing Session: 21st Century Teaching n Learning

Hi great people.

I have done just that.

I have shared what a little knowledge I have about the 21st Century Classroom as well as some ideas about the 21st Century teaching and learning process.

The in-house training was carried out on March 23, 2016 and the participants were none other than my dear colleagues. 

It's my hope that the little knowledge shared goes a long way in helping to shape up the 21st Century Classroom.

I would like to say it was a successful one.

Immediately after the session, my colleagues scrambled for materials meant for Parking Lots, and the day after, all the classrooms had their Parking Lots displayed!

Book Masters ...

Hi beautiful people.

This is a reading programme which I initiated for my school. 

I have talked about the programme, Read It, Eat It here. 

In our bid to get the tough gets going, we appointed four pupils to navigate the programme. 

We honour them with the title Book Master. 

Their job task is to get the books out of their storage and get them ready for the readers. 

Besides, the Book Masters are also responsible for the records. 

Readers' name and book titles would be recorded in log books.

To this date, our Book Masters have never failed to prepare the books for their friends to devour.
