The Purge ...

Day 2/365

Good day peeps!

Yesterday was the new year; a new beginning for many and it's also a great celebration for most of us. How was yours?

Mine was awesome. We spent half of the day shop till we drop and the other half with our loved ones.

I pampered myself with two pairs of wedges and a handbag. Though I've got one a few days earlier, this bag is meant for work. I need something sturdier and durable in order to withstand the rough nature of my work.

We had 'steamboat' back home, a treat from my dad. Thanks Dad and Mom for the food full of love and compassion. Tucking in together was an amazing experience.

As for today, January 2, the second day of 2015, I decided to lay my hands on the piles of shoes at the doorway. Those shoes have been lying-in-state, covered with inches of dust and grimes ever since we moved in. That was three years ago.

Some shoes were untouched for years. They were either not fit or were no longer needed. They ought to be purged. I decided to send them away. My hubby left them at the 'collection centre' and to our amazement, they were snapped within minutes.

After decluttering, the space is no longer an eyesore and finding shoes is also no longer a chore. I should have done this years ago!

Next project will be the old newspapers.

Happy New Year ...Welcome 2015...

Happy New Year peeps.

2015 has made its grand appearance seconds ago.

For this goat year, I pray for lots of love, great health, good wealth and endless happiness, and that goes to everyone in my family and you too dear blog visitors.

As for my study, I hope that I'll be progressing at a great pace.

I vow to stay more focus and systematic. I would try my level best to stay away from all forms of distractions.

And, the following challenge will be taken with gusto.

2013

Today, January 1, 2013.
It's the first day of the year.
It's the first day of work too.

While the rest of the world population are ushering the new year, we, teachers on this side of the world are busy with tasks at hand since today is the first day of school.

Though heaps of workloads are waiting to be cleared, all of us go to school with a happy heart. Everyone knows too well that we have all the support needed from our beloved Boss.

My girl enters secondary school and it means my apron string is severed. I won't be seeing my own flesh and blood at my workplace. No more kid would come to me during break. No more kid would be looking for her mom because of her stomach upset. I feel a keen sense of everything is different now. I feel blessed and terrified.

My teen-age boy would be sitting for the 'biggest' exam in his life this year; the exam that would shape his future. It means more work and of course less play for him. I'm sure he's well aware of this and his dream would be realised.

My one and only new year wish for my love ones - to be freed of any obstacles!
