New Look...

Day 155/365

Good morning peeps.

I've changed the look of Sophyta's Casita. I've opted for Dynamic View template which is simpler and sleeker. It has been quite a long while since I last updated Sophyta's Casita's look. The decision comes in a sudden. Without knowing it, I've already clicked Apply To Blog. It happens in a flash. And .... taa daaa... the new template is chosen ...

I'm going to miss the old look. It was created with lots of love. I spent hours in customising that template. What I'm going to yearn for is the Header; the lovely picture of my family. This picture will be in my heart forever as it has served as the blog header for years. The entire picture exudes charm and liveliness, an impression reinforced by many details.

If you happen to miss this picture, do come back and view this post. I'm surely will.

Happy Mother's Day ...

Day 130/365

It's Mother's Day. Happy Mother's Day to all great mothers out there.

Both ladies in the picture are a mother. However, there are stark differences between the two of them. My beautiful mom is a supermom. She can do everything and anything for all her offsprings. The words I CAN'T and NO are not in her vocabulary list.

She's very energetic even in her sixties. She cooks three meals a day without fail. She strongly objects to take-away food. She prepares Dad's favourite food meticulously. She entertains grandchildren's requests lovingly. To her, feeding her love ones with outside food is an absolute no-no.

Personal hygiene and household cleanliness are Mom's top priorities. She cleans, scrubs, mops and wipes her house every single day. She makes sure every nook and cranny of her house is spotless before she calls it a day. In short, her house is kept spick and span all the time.

Mom adores all her brood. She loves the six of us unconditionally and we love her with all our heart.

Mom,
Words are never enough
to thank you
for all that you do...

Happy Mother's Day,
Mom!

Wish you the best of health and happiness, Mom!

Mama ...

Day 76/365

Mama was under the weather.

Her bP surged to above 'sea level'.

She's feeling dizzy and lethargic.

Her world spun occasionally.

But, Mama is always Mama.

She didn't whine.

She didn't cry.

She kept to herself.

She absorbed the pain.

Eventually, she triumphed!

The sickness was defeated.

The bP subsided.

Mama is back on her feet again.

She's happily resuming her 'business'.

We have our Mama back.

We love you Mae!

May your day be filled with joy, health, laughter and happiness!

A Grammatically Incorrect Love Story ...

Day 75/365

It's I fine...Thank you again.

As I've mentioned earlier, it's worth watching.

Apart from the hilarious scenes and dialogues, it conveyed  a great message.

It did hit the bull in the eye.

For a teacher who has never ceased looking for inspirations to teach, this movie fits perfectly into the category of a great teaching aid.

Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.
~Jim Ryun~

Love is Gym's soul motivation

Though his love is riddled with ungrammatical sentences, it's love that keeps him going.

It's love that helps him acquire the basic English for communication.

Dear friends,
what is your motivation?

I fine ... Thank you.

Day 74/365

Watched this movie with hubby and daughter just now.

My girl seldom requests for a movie unless it's a very good one.
It's a good watch.
No regret.
Will write about the movie in the next post.

Dad's Vision ...

Day 72/365

Fulfilling our obligation to our Dad - we, my younger brother, Cha and I, took him to see a renowned ophthalmologist at the Eagles.

The specialist managed to convince me in giving my Dad the injection to correct his vision. She was very professional and approachable.

It'll be done next Friday. The decision, undoubtedly has cheered Dad up. He's looking forward to a better vision, and so does our family.

We prayed for the success of this medical procedure. Everyone is keeping their fingers crossed.

Sadhu! Sadhu! Sadhu!

Love is a Chemical Reaction ...

Day 71/365

As I was searching for inspirations to write, his picture appeared on my FB wall.

His status update is inspiring. I would like to share his status here.

Love is like chemical reaction. Molecules must collide in the right orientation for the reaction to occur. So do humans. LOVE only happens with the RIGHT person.
                                                                               ♡♥Korn ♡♥

Amazingly, you brought Chemistry to life with your poetic touch, Son.

Here vs There ...

Day 51/365

Here in your own house, you can enjoy life to the fullest.

Here, in your abode, you deserve to rest after a hard day's work.

Here, in your parents' territory, you are treated as a princess.

Here, your spouse is also entitled to the juiciest part of the chicken.

Here, your partner is also treated as one of their own.

Here, your partner is entitled to a good rest.

No one will ever gawk at you or your spouse for enjoying your food or for taking a much needed break

But, ...
Everything is different over there.

The following pictures speak a thousand words...

I'm truly proud of you, son.

The Director...

Day 46/365

He was a shy boy.

He was a boy of a few words.

He was highly inferior.

He was timid.

He wasn't used to being a leader.

He didn't like to be in the limelight.

He used to be one of the backbenchers.

Things changed recently.

Things changed when he entered college.

He studies harder.

He's elected class rep.

He's elected project director.

He did his job well.

He's now a polished leader.

In short, Korn is a late bloomer.

I'm proud of you, son.

Being a one-day student ...

Day 45/365

Behind an adult student there are hoards of great people.

I'm very fortunate to have a very caring and understanding life partner.

I'm very fortunate to have a very brilliant and compassionate daughter.

I'm very fortunate to have a thoughtful and highly responsible son.

I'm extremely fortunate to have  loving and caring parents.

Yesterday, I attended a proposal presentation and met up with my SV.

It took up half a day.

My hubby and daughter were very kind to accompany me there.

They waited for hours without a single complaint.

Thank you for the love!

It's the best Valentine's Day gift ever.
