Dad's Vision ...

Day 72/365

Fulfilling our obligation to our Dad - we, my younger brother, Cha and I, took him to see a renowned ophthalmologist at the Eagles.

The specialist managed to convince me in giving my Dad the injection to correct his vision. She was very professional and approachable.

It'll be done next Friday. The decision, undoubtedly has cheered Dad up. He's looking forward to a better vision, and so does our family.

We prayed for the success of this medical procedure. Everyone is keeping their fingers crossed.

Sadhu! Sadhu! Sadhu!

Daybook 11

Good afternoon peeps!
Feeling great ... it's still a weekend!

For today  ::  June 15, 2013

Outside my window. . . the sun is shining brightly ... it's scorching actually...

I am thinking. . . of my goal ... long term goal in life ... and I'm glad that I''ve initiated the first move.

I am remembering. . . my dad ... tomorrow is Father's Day ... alas, it's a working day... but, every day is Father's Day for my dad ... as I see it.

I am going. . . to whip up my very own version of Panchetta ...

I am reading. . . The Speed of Light by Javier Cercas ... but this book hasn't hooked me on the very first page ... howbeit, I'm not giving up... as yet!

I am hearing. . . motorbike zooming past and a faint sound of music from my son's room...

Around the house. . . pretty quiet ...

One of my favorite things. . . reading the day away and updating my blog ...

A favourite quote for today . . . Work out your own salvation. Do not depend on others.

From my picture journal. . .

My Dad, My Hero ...

My dad turned 65 yesterday, December 10, and I would like to dedicate this great poem to my great dad.

He never looks for praises
He's never one to boast

He just goes on quietly working
For those he loves the most

His dreams are seldom spoken
His wants are very few
And most of the time his worries
Will go unspoken too

He's there.... A firm foundation
Through all our storms of life
A sturdy hand to hold to
In times of stress and strife

A true friend we can turn to
When times are good or bad
One of our greatest blessings,
The man that we call Dad.

My Children's Father ...

He's the father of my two children.
He's my one and only consultant.
He's the pillar of our strengths.

He's our navigator.
He maneuvers our ship to the shore.
He's our compass, too.
He directs us through the dense forest.

He fights on when we surrender.
He keeps on moving when we're on the verge of losing.
He's the warrior who constantly championing us.
He's indeed our HERO!

Happy Father's Day to you...my children's father!
We love you, dear!
